Shape modification of steel casting

Since precision casting process is always applied to produce thin wall castings, which is subject to deformation during solidification especially large castings. Thus shape modification is used to modify the deformed raw casting into the required form and position tolerance.

Stainless steel casting shape modification is using oil presser with designed mold to apply force onto certain deforming areas, in order to make the casting within required form tolerance. For some tubular steel castings or large steel cast housings, shape modification is an effective and necessary process to get the desired exact form and position tolerance.

Stainless steel casting surface finishing includes common surface machining like grinding, polishing or other precision machining to achieve fine surface smoothness, also includes various kinds of surface treatments such as sand blasting, sand shooting, tumbling, mirror polishing, brushing, powder coating or painting, electroplating, electrophoresis and so on.
